Welcome
Welcome to Hennepin Theatre Trust and the State, Orpheum and Pantages Theatres. If you’re a regular attendee at our theatres you may already know about our diverse array of events and programs and I hope our new website makes it even easier to interact with us. If you’re new to Hennepin Theatre Trust, we look forward to your becoming a fan of our work. I enthusiastically invite you to explore our website and also join us for a Tony Award-winning Broadway show, an unforgettable concert or an enlightening educational experience.
“Vibrant Theatres, Vibrant City” - these words recognize the pivotal role we play in making Minneapolis such an exciting place to live, work and play. Annually, more than 500,000 people attend events and programs at our Hennepin Avenue theatres. To understand the impact of our theatres, imagine Downtown without our glowing marquees or Hennepin Avenue without throngs of theatre-goers, or restaurants and bars without that exciting pre-theatre rush! Our work fosters vibrancy on stage and throughout our city.
The support of our community is essential to our success. Arts enthusiasts from throughout the five state area support us by purchasing tickets to productions in our theatres. In addition to helping to underwrite show costs, a portion of each ticket purchased assists us in the ongoing operation of our historic venues. Others are more deeply engaged with us, becoming donors and helping us reach additional high schools through our SpotLight Musical Theatre Program, or enabling us to enroll more students in our Critical View student reviewer program or making it possible for us to serve a broader range of people through our free ticket Access Program. When our patrons contribute to the Trust, they can be confident that they’re making a difference: 97.3% of each dollar you contribute supports programs that directly serve our community!
I encourage you to explore our website and join us as a fan, a patron and a donor. In fostering our vibrant theatres, you’ll create a vibrant city.
