Access Program 2012: Once Upon a Theatre...

Watch Belle from Disney's Beauty and the Beast share an Access story!
You love your theatre experience. You know that live theatre has the power to change an outlook, instill a dream, offer hope and provide a breather from the everyday world. This holiday season, you can share these experiences by making a tax deductible donation to our Access Program, which aims to share the magic of live theatre with more individuals and families in our community.
Hennepin Theatre Trust's Access Program works with Twin Cities educational, health, Veteran and social service providers through this unique program to offer tickets to underserved members of our community so they can experience the best of Broadway, music, lectures and dance. These experiences increase access to the arts for people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend a live theatre event.
Here’s how your gift to the Access Program can create a theatre story for a deserving member of our community:
- $100 – Brings the experience of live music to a Neighborhood House participant by providing an evening to enjoy a popular musician perform at the State Theatre.
- $250 – Creates a priceless memory by providing an opportunity for a Senior Skyway Center member, living on a fixed income, to accompany their grandchild to a Broadway matinee performance and participate in a Family Day activity together.
- $500 – Provides a special night together for an entire family facing daily struggles of raising a child with a life-threatening medical condition through a partnership with HopeKids.
- $1,000 – Fosters a life-long appreciation of art by enabling students participating in a Project Success program to attend their first Broadway show and feel firsthand the powerful impact theatre can have on people’s lives and their community.
