President/CEO

Tom Hoch is President and Chief Executive Officer of Hennepin Theatre Trust and has been involved with the historic State, Orpheum and Pantages Theatres since the mid-1980’s. He worked for the Minneapolis Community Development Agency (now the Department of Community Planning and Economic Development) in a variety of capacities over six years. During that time, he coordinated the restoration of the State Theatre and oversaw the acquisition and initial operation of the Orpheum Theatre. Hoch then served as Deputy Executive Director of the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority. In 1996, along with Fred Krohn, he initiated the five-year effort to prevent the demolition and launch the restoration of the Pantages Theatre, and gathered the support of local property owners for streetscape improvements that grace the Hennepin Theatre District today. Hoch is an attorney, former teacher with the Minneapolis Public Schools and is a lifelong Minneapolis resident.
