Hennepin Theatre Trust's Family Day events, young audiences and their families are introduced to the magic of live theatre with special activities and giveaways. Family Day performances have included Shrek the Musical, Disney's The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, Disney’s High School Musical, Disney's and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins and the World Premiere of The 101 Dalmatians Musical.

Our most recent event was Hennepin Theatre Trust's very own Mary Poppins Pop-Up Park! David Herzig of the Minnesota Kite Society guided over 75 children in building their own "tiny dancer" kites! There was plenty of outdoor fun to be had, including hoola-hoops, chalk and bubbles. Each child left with a gift bag filled with surprises! Click here to view photos.
