| Twenty-five senior high students from two area schools, the Interdistrict Downtown School and North High School, are to attend ten touring Broadway productions and write reviews as part of afterschool curriculum that includes comparative literature, critical thinking and creative response. |

- To provide high school students with limited resources the opportunity to see and develop an appreciation for live theatre and promote a sense of comfort and ownership around the theatre experience.
- To provide a unique and engaging forum for student learning outside of the classroom.
- To develop and enhance critical thinking, self-expression and writing skills.

- The opportunity to see ten live theatre performances at the State, Orpheum or Pantages Theatres throughout the year.
- Pre-show dinner with at the Oak Grill Restaurant in downtown Minneapolis with a pre-show and post-show discussion facilitated by the program manager and the opportunity to review press materials provided to the professional media.
- Constructive critiques and assessments of reviews written by student participants provided by the program manager.
- Student reviews posted on the Hennepin Theatre Trust website and in the theatre.
- Special discussions led by visiting artists, directors and/or professional theatre critics.
