8th Annual SpotLight Showcase

The SpotLight Showcase is Hennepin Theatre Trust's annual celebration of musical theatre students and musicals from among 56 Minnesota high schools. Set this year for Monday, June 3, at 7:00pm at the Orpheum Theatre, tickets are available for just $15! During this evening of unparalleled entertainment, students will be honored for their amazing work and perform highlights from award-winning shows they have presented during the past year.

The SpotLight Showcase is the culminating event in Hennepin Theatre Trust’s SpotLight Musical Theatre Program, our flagship educational initiative to honor and celebrate young people who participate and excel in high school musical theatre. Last year’s sold out event featured nearly 1,000 students performing highlights from the Trust’s 2012-13 Broadway season including a medley from The Book of Mormon by outstanding performance honorees.

Get the red carpet treatment at this year’s SpotLight Showcase by purchasing an exclusive package! Ranging from $75 - $1,000, these packages not only provide SpotLight supporters with the best seats to the Showcase, but a range of exclusive benefits. Packages at select levels include tickets in premium locations, complimentary historic theatre tours, dessert and drinks after the Showcase and the opportunity to give a special shout out to your favorite SpotLight performer! Most of each package price is also tax-deductible, because SpotLight is part of Hennepin Theatre Trust’s nonprofit programming.
