Phoenix with TORO Y MOI

The French pop group Phoenix returns to Minneapolis! The band’s 2006 release It’s Never Been Like That was their mainstream breakthrough and last year’s critically adored Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix earned the band a well-deserved Grammy award for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Phoenix are Christian Mazzalai, Laurent Brancowitz, Thomas Mars, Deck D’Arcy, a close-knit bunch of childhood friends who grew up in Versailles in the eclectic 80’s. Their sound, a truly engaging blend of sophisticated rock and synth pop, has been taking the states by storm.
