Single Tickets for Rock of Ages Go On Sale Friday, July 30 at 9 a.m.

MINNEAPOLIS—Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that individual tickets for Rock of Ages, the five-time Tony nominated musical starring original Broadway cast member Constantine Maroulis, will go on sale Friday, July 30 at 9 a.m. From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., tickets will only be available in person at the State Theatre Box Office. Beginning at 10 a.m., tickets will also be sold online through HennepinTheatreTrust.org, by calling 1.800.982.2787 or visiting a Ticketmaster Ticket Center. Direct from Broadway, Rock of Ages is a hilarious, feel-good love story told through the hit songs of iconic rockers Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake and many more. Rock of Ages will debut in Minnesota at the Orpheum Theatre Oct. 19-24, 2010 as part of Hennepin Theatre Trust’s 2010/11 Broadway Across America-Minneapolis season.

In 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small-town girl met a big-city dreamer–and in L.A.’s most legendary rock club, they fell in love to the greatest songs of the 80’s. Tony Award nominee and “American Idol” finalist Constantine Maroulis will reprise his acclaimed performance as Drew in the first national tour of this smash hit musical. Rock of Ages is directed by Tony Award nominee Kristin Hanggi (Bare, Pussycat Dolls on the Sunset Strip), choreographed by Kelly Devine (Jersey Boys Associate Choreographer) and features a book by Chris D’Arienzo (writer and director of the film “Barry Munday”).

Performance dates for Rock of Ages are Tuesday, Oct. 19 through Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 at the Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Avenue, Mpls., 55403). Show times are Tuesday at 8 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m. *Mature language, may be inappropriate for children under age 14.
