Rain Returns to the Orpheum for Three Big “Beatles” Shows Saturday-Sunday, March 3-4, 2012

MINNEAPOLIS—Rain: A Tribute To The Beatles, the multimedia, music-theater Beatles extravaganza direct from their phenomenally successful Broadway engagement, returns by popular demand to Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Orpheum Theatre for three shows at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 and 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2012. The all-star cast of Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles is Mac Ruffing (as Paul McCartney), Jimmy Irizarry (as John Lennon), Chris McBurney (as Ringo Starr), Tom Teeley (as George Harrison) and Chris Smallwood (on keyboards). They have mastered every song, gesture and nuance of the legendary foursome, delivering a totally live, note-for-note performance with no pre-recorded tapes or sequences. The Los Angeles Times calls it “a two-hour homage to pop music’s most brilliant gem” and the Boston Herald raves, “Uncanny!
