The Lion King Minneapolis Camera Alert & Interview Opportunity

WHAT: Reporters, television camera crews and print still photographers are invited to speak to representatives and shoot selected elements of Disney’s THE LION KING, returning to Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN for a limited five-week engagement, January 11 – February 12, 2012.
WHEN: Friday, January 6, 2012 / 3:00PM-4:00PM
The production’s colossal Pride Rock, the show’s main set piece, is made available for filming. Michael Carey, the Head Carpenter for THE LION KING North American Tour, will be available for interviews regarding Pride Rock. If conditions permit, he may allow the cameras to stand on the wings of the stage. Please note that in the event that Pride Rock is not available for any reason, Michael will still be able to comment on the load-in process and the other technical aspects of the show.
Friday, January 13, 2011/ 8:00PM – 9:00PM
Television camera crews and print photographers are invited to shoot two scenes/musical numbers - the Lioness Hunt and “They Live In You” in Act I. Cameras will not have the opportunity to plug into the sound board. Please note that the Lioness Hunt does not occur until approximately 8:30pm, but all camera crews and photographers must arrive before 8:00pm.
